Not sure what you are considering to be high as a requirement. First off, are you going as an Indian National or an expat. If you are an Indian National with Indian licenses then you can fly a jet with minimum flight hours. I would not be surpirsed if you can fly a jet with 250 hrs. Not sure what the regional mins are in the USA. If you are an expat then as a Capt they require 500 hrs in type (standard for most any contract). Expat F/O's are now also being hired as long as they have time in type of aircraft flown. If you are an expat remember you will only be there while there is a need. As soon as the 250 hr lads get done with training, out you go! If you are regional expat F/O with no jet time or no time in type of aircraft being flown, your chances of being hired are slim in my opinion.
