AC will operate a daily YYT-LHR service starting in april.
The yyt-lhr leg is about 5h30 mins and about 5h45 back.
As for the rumor that it will be a turn that is incorrect.Our contract does not allow such a long duty day especially across that many time zones.
The crew will operate to LHR ,layover 24 hours then operate back the next day.
As the company has to train the pilots for ETOPS and NAT procedures as well as a route check, that flying will be done by the pilots of the Montreal base as it is the closest to YYT and has fewer pilots than the YYZ base to train.
