QR's for expat pilots at SPICEJET
The exact qualification requirements for expat captains for SPICEJET are:
- Total flying time more than 5000 hrs
- More than 500 hrs PIC on B 737NG
- Current flying license (FAA/JAA or other ICAO contracting state)
- Current medical
- Current Instrument Rating & Proficiency check
- Age not more than 64 yrs.
- No aviation accident record in the last one year
All selection shall be in strict compliance with (Indian) CAR Sec 7, Series G, Part II dated 08 oct 1999. All short listed pilots shall be subjected to the following selection process prior to being used for normal line operations.
- Candidates shall normally be subjected to a simulator suitability check. In case this not feasible, they shall be checked for their competence during ground school and on-line check prior to release.
