PPD, I well understand the need for income to pay for "our habit" and I'm not knocking it, believe me. However, I wonder if others share my sense of sadness that this "thing" has got as big as it has (more that doubled in the last year). Inevitable, of course, with Web awareness spreading like the 'flu.
I was a mite gruntled when I found I could not use my prized PPRuNe e-mail address because the server addresses were not available for me to put into an Outlook Express account as is possible with a normal Web mail account.
No, I don't know how much a multi processor rack mounted server costs to buy, rent or maintain but I sure as hell couldn't afford it!
