You are not the only one with such a story... I am still owed mucho dinero by a former employer for some work i did after resigning...
The simple truth is that management companies are whores for their rich customers, and therefore managing directors for those companies are essentially pimps. don't trust them... for anything... ever.
Now, on a cash in advance basis, i still gladly work with them..
