One needs to pass the Class
1 audiogram for a JAA IR, even if on a PPL.
There are initial limits, and there are renewal limits which are easier.
I wonder if the CPL/ATPL
concession can be used to get past the initial limits?
The above URL doesn't work; it worked up to a few days ago but the CAA has withdrawn the file; a search doesn't turn it up either. Basically, it contains a chart showing how a holder of any ICAO CPL/ATPL and any ICAO Class 1 medical can obtain a JAA Class 1 medical using the
