Please remember that here in Canada the experience levels are quite a bit higher. There are a ton of pilots for airlines to pick from and therefore don't need to hire low time guys. Air Canada, Jazz, and Westjet are all hiring at this time and the majority of the guys getting on have at least 4000-5000hrs. Thats for an entry level airline job (rhs Dash-8, CRJ, EB190 or B737) I personally know of guys that have almost 9000 hrs and are still in the RHS of a CRJ!! A big difference from the rest of the world.
