The Tiger was refurbished by the Mobile Glider Servicing Flight at Cosford and was then test flown for a couple of hours. The aircraft then was flown out midweek, I assumed back to the strip at Long Mountain. The next weekend, four members of the group turned up at Cosford wondering where their aircraft was. Apparently the 'leader' of the group had dissapeared with the aircraft. I heard later that he had sold the Tiger and pocketed the money. Six months after this I was told that a legal battle was going on to recover the money. Never heard any more.
