The concert was as good as I've seen them play, and I've seen them every time they've been out since 1984 (Bloody hell, I was still in high school then).
It was actually Edge who came to the microphone and thanked Sydney. He stepped back from the microphone and the crowd started. One of the other band members told him that they were in fact in Melbourne. He returned to the microphone and said something like "Thankyou Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, ....but especially Melbourne ...." - priceless.
You can't really blame the guy, he's probably played in more cities than we know even exist - he's entitled to get a bit confused every now and then. Besides that, he's still one of the coolest guys on earth and had blown up his amp a couple of songs into the night. Rock on.
