Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM and United have said that they will integrate iPods into their entertainment systems so that passengers can watch their own videos, stored on their iPods, on the seat-back screens.
It is being done by Apple and Panasonic Avionics and they expect other carriers to follow. The first iPod-ready seats are planned for mid-2007.
Whilst Air France, Continental, Delta and KLM are all in SkyTeam, Emirates and United are not, so it appears to be an alliance driven project but open to others too. This is the press release from
