Is THIS the 'end of the end' of the plan to close / move JT??
Today's Perth Newspaper, 'The Sunday Times', a rather small article (on page 16 in the 'late edition').....
States that "The FED govt is not supporting a plan to relocate JT .....
"The Commonwealth is in no way supporting any move to close Jandakot at this time", is the quote from the Deputy Sec. of the DOTARS dept.
Better yet, Senator Bill Heffernan is quoted as saying that the plan was a sharp opportunity for a developer to convert the area into building blocks
"and get millions of dollars in a bank account somewhere and bugger the inconvenience to everyone else".
It would therefore appear to be a case of -
"WELL DONE TO THE JT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ET AL.....
And to Gaunty, Clare Prop, and colleagues et al, for keeping us 'up to speed'...
Cheers
