pal prefers to hire DECs for the A320s, not the widebodies. there's a long line of folks waiting for the widebody captaincies.
hope the additional widebodies are true. but as you all know, in pal, if it ain't there yet, then it's not quite true.
but i think the purchase plan for additional widebodies had been stated in the medium-term plan since 2005. and yes, they need at least two years to order which is why they say they plan to announce the order by end oy year 2006 for IOE on 2008.
...unless they plan to buy secondhand ones like the botched deals with ANA's and Air NewZealand's 744s...
