Right ... just a few corrections to be made to the posting above regarding the briefing procedures at BA. The Flight Crew briefing for shorthaul is NOT 1hr its 1hr 10 mins except when departing from Term4 when its 1hr 15mins and the Cabin Crew report time is 1hr and 10mins (again shorthaul). Also the flight crew DO travel from the Compass Centre with the Cabin Crew assuming they are starting their day with us otherwise if we are joining them after they hav come in from soemwhere else we either see them at the A/c (they would have had their turnaround in our CAT lounge) or we meet them at the CAT lounge (if we are also coming in from somewhere else and going onwards.) The Cabin Crew briefing IS 15 minutes held in a seperate room and as you said SEP, Loads, working positions, special needs and AOB. The flight crew however have a communal area where they go and do their own briefing. They collect their paperwork (SWORD, MET etc etc) and discuss their own safety issues (NOTAMS, alternates etc etc ) Hope this clears up any confusion. "May the night-stops be long and the allowances never ending!!"
