The AAIB has spoken, and a lifting cable, possibly forgotten by the crew is said to be the cause of the crash. The cable swung back and hit the tail area, possibly destroying the tail rotor.



When the crew landed from the last lift, the plan was to pick up one more load. The plan was changed during the ground stop, and the AAIB speculate that the crew forgot that they had a cable attached.
