You are right, you don't have to....I've been on planet earth for a good few years now.

An unfortunate truth

Whether u like it or not its a matter of national security and US takes it very seriously and I can guarantee u the yanks do have experts in that regard. They will screen the candidate's past until the very moment he/she was born and that takes time and if any doubts the answer will be NO.
I dont have any issue with that, however your comments in previous posts bely a rather more "narrow minded" view point to this.
As I said previously, Nearly-man is asking because he flys as a professional airline pilot in Europe, he was born in an Islamic country, but has to the best of my knowledge lived for at least the past 35 years in western Europe (which includes all of his adolescent and adult life)
