Guys and girls this simply comes down to communication and initiative. It helps to have a chat with the flight crew before you get the request to see the flight deck. That way you know ahead of time what the answer is gonna be. Also as said above do realise that the workload on the flight deck is different to the one in the cabin so be appreciative that the best time is during cruise and NOT during descent .... landing ..... etc I must admit you will meet some of the old prats about and I agree that sometimes yo have to deal with the kids after this and I personally had to do so recently. A couple of ice creams and airplane posters later and they were beaming big smiles ear to ear. Remember you MUSTN'T let a prat get to you (that counts for crew and pax) because it will only serve to bring you down and that is a waste of YOUR time and energy. The idea is to have fun and enjoy yourselves!!!
