Naah, no way, not any time soon. Unless tricky Dicky shuts down Eastern, Sunstate and Airlink and then pushes them over to Jetstar on AWAs with lower costs. Even still, they would keep the roo on them. Qantaslink is in many ways a premium product and I am sure there are many who customers who would be dark over it becoming a part of the Jetstar brand.

As I see it, Qantas domestic will shrink to CityFlyer and a few other select routes where there is demand for their product, while new routes and the leisure ones will go through Jetstar. Qantaslink needs to remain in order to feed the mainline services, at least in brand. I think that the regional group does a great job as it is and that they'll keep separate from Jetstar for a while.

Now, how about Jetstar starting a regional arm, flying out of Avalon maybe . . .?
