this thread might give you some insight as to why flying isn't always what you'd hoped it would be.
Unfortunately, it's a fact that you guys have only your own imagination and what you read from experienced pilots to tell you what the job is like. Equally unfortunately, you generally tend to disbelieve us when we tell you it's often not all you've cracked it up to be.
Great Expectations is just one of many whose illusions have been shattered by the reality.
