Hawk TMk1A (as used by the Red Arrows) were modified during the early 80's to carry Sidewinder missiles (and an Aden cannon pod) in order to carry out duties with the MFF (Mixed Fighter Force), using one F4 Phantom or F3 Tornado paired with two Hawks.
Yes they are still designated as training a/c but they have some teeth and are at least 'combat capable' if only in a small way.
