At the risk of side-tracking your fine thread here, ExSimGuy, PJ mentions the above... But as they say on T.V., "But WAIT!, there's MORE!!"....
How long did it take for the Indian "auth-orr-at-ahh-ies" (said loosely, since most sit there with plum-jobs handed to them...but I diverge yet again...)...for them to decide "hey, wait! If the UK has these great ideas, LETS do them TOO!!" (sorry, no offence, but the bad guys just ain't-a targeting India using civilian aircraft...! (yet..))....?? About as long as it took for the UK authorities to DOWNGRADE the security measures, mainly because the mini-baddies were rounded up (hopefully all...) from the 'burbs in Blarney-Land!
Let's revisit this again... AFTER the UK relaxed their security precautions, the Indian "auth-orr-at-ahh-ies" decided to implement theirs!!
...ya gotta love red tape. (or red herrings) (or Johnny Walker Red)
