Most flying clubs seem to use the AOPA syllabus as an approved acceptable means of compliance with the JARs. You've probably noticed that the official publications available on-line (ANO, JARs, LASORS etc) only specifythe mandated minimum requirements, test standards etc.

The AMCs are not on-line, but available at a price, as they provide a revenue stream for the JAA.

The documents mentioned above give a pretty good breakdown of the exercises. The AOPA syllabus document gives a breakdown of the time spent on the different exercises.
