It seems like the Vulcan has made some friends in the BBC - there's a report coming up on the 1 O'clock news shortly (now 13.18).
Hopefully it'll make the later main bulletins also.
Edit: Just watched it, a much more polished piece than earlier. More cold-war era video and much clearer statement of funds needed before the 31st. Our intrepid reporter conducted the interview with the pilot from atop the roundel on the port wing.
