F3G why should she have to change out of uniform? The poor woman has got back from the states and all she wants to do is go home, never mind fannying around changing first?
There is NO excuse for this behaviour. The man in question is a first class prat who should be deeply ashamed of his beviour. British Airways didn't cause these delays.
