cancellations of flights are often (not always) subject to ad hoc decisions.
so if there´s an immediate threat to an airline they will decide weather to cancel the flight or not.
just speak to your travel agent or the ba hotline again tonight and if your flight is cancelled ask them to rebook you onto other flights e.g. from europe mainland to asia...
