Hi loon767

In the pm, u mentioned abt overseas training. I was wondering if u r referring to that during the course of my 8 years? Does everyone gets a chance for overseas training or is it based on performance and so on?

And lets say after my 8 years, realistically, how marketable am i with my acquired license? Do most of the S'pore LAEs carry on with local companies or do they ply their trade abroad?

From the infor on the thread, it seems like going overseas seems to be a greener pastures for the S'pore LAEs, as expats are employed on a contract basis in S'pore. I apologise for any misinterpretation if i am wrong.

And from wat i have acquired so far, there is a lead engineer who is in charge of a team of 7 LAEs, and a foreman is in charge of the lead engineer. While serving the remaining 5 years after my apprenticeship, i would be considered as a LAE. So probably with more experience gained, there would be opportunities to become a lead engineer or even climb to a foreman level after the 8 years?

Sorry for being so long winded, just wana find out more abt the career. Thank you for any advice in advance.
