Mmmm 8k a month after 8yrs, I don't think so. When I left SQ last year LAE's were coming out of their apprenticeships at $1700 pm, including the first dual type rating on company fleet, plus $100 shift allowance, $60 for laundry plus licence/approval payments of $500 per company dual type and $350 per dual approval to a maximum of $1750pm. Oh yes remember that SQ will only train, through your apprenticeship, for the fist dual licence, you must then wait at least a year to pick up your next type course. When I left the max basic for an LAE with no less than 15yrs time as an LAE was $4800 it would therefore be evident that $8K after 8 years which includes 3.5 yrs as an apprentice is not realistic.
You could realistically expect to be earning somewhere between 4.5k and 5k Sing dollars after 8 years all going well.
