compare a Eastern/Sunnies Dash FO on 50k and 5 or 6 weeks annual leave to a CRJ FO on 1/2 the pay and 1/6th the annual leave and thank your lucky stars you're not working in the US. Career earning are the important thing....
The difference is that the CRJ FO probably has less hours than most of the pilots in oz flogging around the bush in a single engine cessna for about 20k pa and
NO annual leave
! 50k might not be to bad for a dash FO (compared to some places), but it takes 10 years of hard yakka to get there.
