I come from a poor background also, however, I was lucky enough that my parents had paid most of their mortgage off and used it to back me. Also, most pre oxford guys dont understand the risk. Most get a job, but not all do, and the correlation isnt proportional to how well you did, purely luck on the day of a sim check. To pay back the hsbc loan you need a fair size salary, so you need a good back up job. Any good at selling things? I'll take it upon myself today to think of any other ideas for you because i cant stand the way our industry is "restricted" to those that are capable oflaying their hands on an awful lot of cash.
