White Knight It cannot possibly be sour grapes that I smell because that would imply that I applied to join EK and was rejected which is not the case.
I did a few years back when DEC's were talked about because of the ex SQ 340's express mild interest in EK because I assumed ( wrongly as it happened) that EK required DEC's for short term contracts whilst they got their act together promoting from within and would offer T & C's such as block days off and contract salaries. When I discovered that this was not the case and that one had to live in Dubai and join just a few increments up on the Captain's scale my interest fell rapidly to
Zero
As for the smell of DEC's for the 747-800 no sour grapes my end dear boy as I will be retired by the time they arrive in EK. I suggest you check your nose again
