Interesting antman, a mate had his TT stolen from outside his house 3 months ago. In that time the police were searching for it. The insurance company thinking it had vanished paid out. Then council calls the police 3 months later!!! It was dumped a couple of miles down the road and they picked it up pretty much straight away.
Of course the motive was money. They took the car, expecting a wealthy Audi TT driver to show up with a couple of hundred pounds and failed to even consider if the car was stolen/recovered. He has sought advice, and it seems he has a valid case against the council who effectively stole his car. What this has to do with the above, I don't know but it's a nice story hey?
