Bringing up children is the hardest thing I've ever done, it's also the most rewarding. You're never actually 'ready' to have them and the impact on your life is staggering (and still is !)
As for your girl, maybe you will run into her again ? That said I think we've all had momentary 'love affairs' with people we've met briefly, in some ways it's better to remember these people as they were rather than actually getting to know them ! Good luck anyway
