Clearly there are other jobs available that pay more, or perhaps have a bit more time off, and possibly better destinations, but I don't suppose that those malcontents who are constantly complaining about EK have ever really considered that just perhaps, some of these Captains just wanted a change of pace/scenery..
I also suspect that these same folks who are the constant complainers have never worked in the middle east before, so this all comes as a horrible shock, or possibly a nightmare.

When you walked in the front door at EK, they expected you to actually work for your keep, and all of a sudden this comes as a complete surprise.
Now you know...for sure.
