It was the only time in my 20 year career that I have seen any services jets purposely flying below flight deck level.
Haven't been around the Buccaneer fleet much then, I'd presume. The Bucc is the only aircraft (the only one that I know of, anyway) that has sustained a wire strike whilst climbing to clear some telephone wires ("Red Flag" 1979).
