Largely due to lack of experience and training.
The AKL base has a 20% attrition rate.
FAs from another Asian base are using sick leave and smuggling to augment their incomes.
All this is costing dollars...BIG DOLLARS!!!
The Pilots who ultimately control fuel burn are understandably upset.
