I heard that the "visitors" at QANTAS qcc1 were very quiet today! heads down no socialising, no sharing any coffee's.
The only exception was the terminator!
He must think he is immune!

Danger Keep It Real and Keep It To Cabin Crew

Righto people,

Let's see if we can stay on topic this time 'round. This thread belongs to Cabin Crew. The first sign of hijack and I'll close it again.

more restructure

for woomera. i am glad you found the key again.
anyway given that 20% of senior managers got the marching orders last few month one can safely assume it be the same or even more in middle management. if someone could deliver the unwind service with a bit of camemile tea to ease the nerves. as pointed out in another forum here most likely the good people will go and leave the rest with more meetings afraid in making decisions. does nothing to move the company forward.

Question ...........where's RICK??????????????????

Rumour has it that Rick was sold the dump down in the MEL Base.
If so -what about the 36 years of service????? All down the proverbial S-bend.
Sure, Rick had his faults ( like us all ). BUT to be punted ( allegedly) on the word of a "man hating hostie" and some pax who just happened to be a friend of Dame Margaret ???????............come on!!!!!!.
I noticed that the clock has been taken down.
Does any one out there have the REAL story behind the departure of Rick.
Another "legend" -gone.
"Rick, Nick........OK I'm going SICK"

had enough

word is rick was hassled by the gestapo after a couple of confrontations in melbourne. he decided he had enough. delivered the uniform and got his cheque. enjoy your retirement.
rumor also has it nick and otheres might be back sooner then later. qf doesn't seem to have a very good case.

LHR Recruitment

Does anyone know why they are AGAIN going to ask Australian based crew if they want to transfer up to the LHR base? Are they still turning over staff up there? Is the Thai base closing?

Any thoughts?

I too hope that Rick enjoys his retirement.

He drove me to distraction on more than one occassion but he was always one to care for his crew and took enormous pride in his work.

36 years is a long time. It will be sad to see so many of his colourful ilk go with the "package." [watch this space]

BA,

10 a month are leaving qfuk I hear and it seems that the Thais are not being replaced as they leave.

Those still up in London are gagging to come home I'm told but be prepared to be told shortly that it is, "ALL GOOD"

Can't imagine too many wanting to move up there given that the word is out on the, "social experiment".

The Package!!

Well the package is out!!!

325 to go!!!!

Let’s hope some of the old dead wood finally go!! If there is such a surplus of cabin crew in the Long Haul Division, then why do they keep hiring more Kiwis??? Anyway I guess it's get rid of the old expensive crew and bring in the cheapies!!!

Good luck and happy retirement to all you ole diggers, I’m sure you’ve earned it!

RIP!

Thumbs up 325 VR

interesting there are no promotions in the pipeline. so if 50+ Csm's go who will take their positions. I can see sh had more csm's promoted recently? looks like more flying going to them. what are the union guys think about that arrangement?

I paxed on a 747 once from Mel to Syd. The redoubtable Rick was the CSM.

Being a statistical minded person, equipped with a stopwatch and fully cognisant of the reason Kerry P threatened to do a biological impossibility on him with the handset; I proceeded to time just how long Rick spent on the P.A. for this sector.

Flight Time Mel-Syd: 55 minutes

Actual time Rick spent on the P.A DURING FLIGHT: 22 mins!!!!

What a legend....
