Yes you can become a pilot but training is just one step and you need to plan ahead as to where you hope to end up and where. Training in the US is very attractive to most and also the most economical and accessible. You'll no doubt require further conversions on your return and this shouldn't be seen as a quick convert as it can be quite an involved process in itself, cosider it as another module in your overall training syllabus.
If possible why not go to the US to train on a J-1 visa which will allow you to possible work as a flight instructor post training for about 1-2 years and build up your time. That will lead you upto ATPL and make the conversion process easier for you and allow you to get to the LHS of a jet quicker.
I'm no expert in terms of the US Visa stuff, so you'll need to source that information for yourself. But don't start training without a plan, engage mind and don't be too easily lead by your emotion. I wish you all the very best ....
