Bumped into Chips in a 'Bricolage' (DIY) in the Dordogne about two years ago. He, himself, was living up near Poitiers but was 'house sitting' for some chum of his at the time. He told me he was making tables for customers out of solid oak...seemed to be enjoying his retirement very much but was thinking of relocating to the US...that was the plan at the time!
