As a police officer having had an accident, I was required to take a breath test, no problem with it, hadn't had a drink in days, but it was conducted in full view of the public. Trouble is it could matter what if one of the Joe publics was a guy going to interview you for a job next day or your bank manager who you were going to see for a loan/mortgage, Joe public is convinced that there is no smoke without fire (as in your case there was)
