OK, I will be the one to give a good answer this time. Just before the sovereignty handover of Hong Kong from Britian to China back in 1997, Singapore has great interest to take on all professional people from Hong Kong who feel uncertainty with their future there. As the result, Singapore immigration department opens up a special migration scheme for Hong Kong ID card holders (not necessary Chinese) since they believe the two places share similar culture. I know many licenced aircraft maintence engineers from HK are now working in Singapore. Hope I have answered your question although it may cause some disappointment.
