I've been there and I have great sympathy. BUT, do you think that the RAF is the only organisation with problems? The grass may be brown and dry in the Service, but it could be dust and ashes elsewhere. I've worked for a couple of larger organisation, on both sides of the Atlantic, and I've met and had to deal with a number of dimwits and jobsworths, just as I did in the RAF.
Just check before you jump!
Just for the record, I jumped when the housing was sold off and the medical services collapsed.
