I have no idea what's on offer at Jet* and no interest, as I am having enough fun doing what I do. However, before you totally bag it as crap, look at the base, cost of living etc. For example, if it's anywhere near Avalon, just out of Melbourne, there are lots of good places to live, where the real estate ain't too over-priced e.g. Geelong. If it's Sydney, think overpriced, probably like any European capital, but with great beaches if you don't mind the occasional mugging. Think petrol going to maybe $1.50 a liter by mid year, interest rates maybe 8% and a decent car for about 25,000 local dollars. In other words, you don't want to compare it with London or Paris.
Reckon it won't be too bad, but the locals may not make you feel too welcome unless you drink beer and follow AFL - if you don't know what that is, you have some study to do.
