Virgin Blue/Virgin Atlantic/Virgin Group has its own loyal band of followers. Not sure if there is enough to make SYD-LAX worth doing.
However with Patrick Corp (freight company) as current majority owners of
VB and Toll Holdings (another big freight company trying to takeover Patrick) you would have to wonder how much money could be made on the freight side of the equation.
Also at this stage Jet* wont be competing against QF on the lucrative SYD-LAX sector which would be another plus for Virgin Blue/Virgin Pacific (still no idea what the name will be).
