Dammit though, Airbus seem to always make it hard for themselves. I saw the programme on how they get A380 bits to Toulouse, winding in through tiny villages and that - with the money they would save by moving assembly to a coastal location they could hire a few more engineers to design stronger wings and save a few tonnes of weight
