OMG i really can't believe what i'm reading, an airline not only ask that you declare what money you have but that you show it to another colleague.
imagine if you had to do this if you worked in a bank or a bar (i've worked in both, and had to do neither) you'd tell them to stick it and find another ground job, airlines rely on the fact that you adore your job like no other and if they can treat you like filth to cover any hole they think there might be.
whether you are honest or not it is a great invasion of privacy. if you have a reputation as a certain type of person and keep private things in a private place (your purse) what right do a company have to ask you to either move them so others don't see them or to show them to a colleague.
they are queationing everybody's honesty which is understandable in the circumstances as there are innumerable bar downs however when you are trying to serve tea and coffee, sell fags and duty free on a 55 min jer with 3 crew and 148 pax what do they expect, you have money and exchange rates coming out of your ears with people trying to get rid of shi**y cash no one has ever heard of and trying to get it all counted on the a/c as you don't get paid on the ground.
i can see arguements for both causes but when it comes down to it is a question of morality and ethics.
