The banned EU list again smacks of hypocrisy. If all the aircraft on the Swaziland registry are banned, how come African International is not mentioned for their Swazi registered DC-8's and why is a certain IL-76 model T VINTAGE!!! from Zimbabwe also not on the list.

Perhaps because the owners and companies are British ? and even though they carry dubious tailnumbers they cant be all that bad. What is good for one is good for all and the rule should be applied equally accross the board. Selective morality is not good its hypocrisy has gotten the world into the State it is in today. I certainly hope that some retaliate and ban some European airlines soon. Heard that the Rwandan government attempted a tit for tat reprisal on SN Brussels a week or two ago in retaliation for a Rwandan DC-8 grounded in Brussels.

If we collectively applied our endevours I am sure we can point out dubious aircraft and operators that should really not fly on this forum and name and shame them. How about a bunch of funny looking home-converted and expired L1011's standing at Ras Al-Khimah Airport which's only possibilities is flying cheap cargo into Africa. Anybody seen them lately - what reg's are they carrying these days. Perhaps the EU should also focus on them. Photo's welcome.
