B A Lert - your post is probably a wind up but just incase it isn't, the JQI launch routes as specified so far, wouldn't allow for much flexability with overseas based crew - especially is HNL is one of the 2/3 launch ports.

Overseas crew are only good, IF your pattern planning and slipping allows you to maximise the resource. A HNL route, in the launch phase would all but require Aus crew. To use others would cost the actual cost saving in the extra slipping/allowances.

Remember - O/S crew are not just about saving money on the pay, look at the QF group so far:

1. LHR Base - Saves LH allowances and LHR slips,
2. BKK base - Saves LH allowances and slips
2. AKL SH Base - Aircraft are O/N in the bases so patterns originate from AKL/WLG into Aus - again a saving on slipping/allowances

Same as DJ and JQ O/S based crew.
