That's my understanding. If they employ you, then you have to pay for an endorsement to maintain that job - OK.
If you pay for an endorsement then they offer you a position as a result - no go.
Either way, it's a pity Jetstar won't salary sacrifice any more, as you need a reasonable income to claim a $34,000 deduction.
