No you are not burned, there is alot more to aviation than Airlines, Biz-jet aviation is alot more rewarding and interesting, and pays just as well. It is also growing at a rate far exceeding that of commercial aviation. I would however recommend that you try and do those subjects, it will open the Airline market to you.
