Pretty much as Pete said but a few more things. Don’t work there myself but the wife does as do most of my friends.

Lots and lots of positioning, on ground and the air, running joke among flight crew last years was a play on the company slogan “we fly Europe” the crew version was “we drive Deutschland”

Summer is very busy, not so many good long flights to the canaries any more and lots of city shuttle which has long duty days but short sector times…..ie: less sector pay for more work.

Recruitment is positive, rumoured to be looking for contract A320 captains through one of the major agencies.
However there is a big caveat.
Not many non Germans ever get in, just ask around and see how many Swiss or Austrian guys have got in…… very very few. I know there is one American left but he has been there since day one and one Italian but in the last few years I cant think of anyone who is not a Deutsch national.

Fleet roll over between the 320 & 737 will continue with a very modest increase in total numbers over time. Lets just see what the IPO brings.
