so you like the look of the B777 and warm temperatures. Well I have heard it all now as a reason to leave everything behind and inflict your family to an expat life.

Do not be put off joining EK or any other airline as a DEC as that is the only way remotely worth considering. However the days of leaving a UK Charter Airline such as yours and coming to the Gulf are well and truly over IMHO. It is just not worth it anymore. Forget the big shiny jet. A night flight to Dhaka and the Indian sub continent is just as bad as the Greek and Canary Islands, take my word on that.It is only worth joining if you are coming to the end of your flying career and want a change for the last 5 years and if you are financially secure. Stay at home if I were you.

I am not in EK but have worked in the Gulf when it was worth it and even the Far East is just the same. Big shiny jets and warm temperatures and that is just about all to it.
